The Lucerne Travel Pass is the regional excursion ticket for the Lake Lucerne Region. Unrestricted rail, bus and boat travel, as well as numerous aerial cableways.

The Lucerne Travel Pass is available from as little as CHF 240 for three days of unlimited travel. And the longer the validity period, the cheaper the daily rate! With the 10-day pass, you can travel unlimitedly by train, bus, boat, and all mountain railways for CHF 36.50 per day.

The Lucerne Travel Pass can be purchased at over 80 sales outlets throughout Central Switzerland (boat stations, train stations, tourist offices, and hotels). The Lucerne Travel Pass can also be purchased from the online shop (print@home). Selected SBB train stations in Switzerland also offer the Lucerne Travel Pass.

Yes, the Lucerne Travel Pass is valid for consecutive days, which means that the selected number of days must be used in a row.

The Lucerne Travel Pass only offers adult and child fares. Senior citizens pay the adult ticket price.

Kids travel at a fixed price of just CHF 30. For just CHF 30, kids between the ages of 6 and 16* accompanied by at least one adult with a valid adult Lucerne Travel Pass can travel without restriction for 3-10 days. Kids under the age of 6 travel free of charge. And best of all: grandchildren, neighbors' kids, and godchildren can also enjoy this attractive fixed price for kids.

The offer is not valid for school classes, clubs, or group trips.

* The cut-off date is the 16th birthday, which means that the Kids Lucerne Travel Pass can be used until the day before the 16th birthday.

Dogs are also welcome guests. An adult with a valid Lucerne Travel Pass can purchase a dog ticket for only CHF 30.

With the Lucerne Travel Pass, you can travel unlimitedly throughout almost all of Central Switzerland by train, bus, boat, and mountain railways. You can find the entire line network here.

No — the Lucerne Travel Pass is only available for 3, 4, 5, or 10 consecutive days.

Buy a Lucerne Travel Pass and hop on board – it's that simple. The ticket does not need to be validated. Upon request, you must present your Lucerne Travel Pass together with valid ID. At some companies, the Lucerne Travel Pass must be exchanged for a ticket at the ticket office.

In winter, some railways have changed opening hours due to maintenance work (see list), and some railways are closed in winter for safety reasons. You can find the route network for summer and winter here.

No, winter sports day passes cannot be purchased with the Lucerne Travel Pass.

No, a separate ticket must be purchased for bicycles for the respective route.

The Lucerne Travel Pass cannot be canceled. Refunds will be issued on a pro rata basis in the event of illness or accident upon presentation of a doctor's certificate at the point of purchase. (Tariff 656.3)

Reservations are not generally required for mountain railways. However, during peak season and when visitor numbers are high, reservations are recommended for larger railways such as the Brienz-Rothorn Railway, Pilatus Railways, and Stanserhorn Railway. The surcharge for reservations is not included in the Lucerne Travel Pass. Information on reservation options can be found here.

The Lucerne Travel Pass is valid for travelers from Zurich departing from Pfäffikon SZ or Baar. Travelers from Ticino can travel free of charge with the Lucerne Travel Pass from Göschenen. When traveling from Bern (via Interlaken), the pass is valid from Interlaken Ost, or when traveling via Emmental from Langnau i.E. 

Important: This information only applies if the train stops at these stations (direct connections without stopping at the stations mentioned are excluded).

The Lucerne Travel Pass is valid for unlimited travel on all scheduled services within the network area.

No, the Lucerne Travel Pass is a personal ticket (bearing your first and last name) and is not transferable.

The Lucerne Travel Pass is a discounted combined offer, so there are no further discounts for groups. School classes cannot purchase the Children's Lucerne Travel Pass; the children's offer is only valid for adults in a family context.

Travelers with disabilities who are residents of Switzerland and who require an accompanying person and/or a guide dog when traveling can claim the travel discount for travelers with disabilities. Eligible persons are authorized to take an accompanying person, a guide dog, or both with them free of charge on their journey. The traveler with a disability or the accompanying person must be in possession of a valid Lucerne Travel Pass. There are no discounts/free travel with foreign disability cards.
